A letter from our President
As we continue providing care through this pandemic in the safest and healthiest way possible, our communities have come together in ways we could not have imagined. At Canton-Potsdam, Gouverneur, and Massena Hospitals we continue delivering essential treatments, preventative medicine, and emergency care through modified processes and telemedicine. We remain resourceful, innovative, and prepared to meet the challenges of what’s next.
Now, as we move ahead with onboarding new specialists, expanding upon our services, and welcoming more patients and visitors to our hospitals, we remain vigilant in our efforts by monitoring State requirements and implementing best practices at all of our locations.
We are screening everyone who presents to our hospitals, including patients, staff, and visitors, for symptoms of COVID-19.
We are requiring all visitors to perform meticulous hand hygiene and wear face masks throughout their visit.
We are applying COVID-19 level cleaning and ultraviolet disinfecting. • We are performing routine COVID-19 testing of all staff.
We have pre-identified and restricted COVID-19+ designated triage and patient care areas.
We are continuing to encourage and schedule telemedicine visits with primary care doctors and specialists where it is appropriate.
After all, you and your family deserve access to safe, reliable, and quality care. Our care. In the face of any challenge, we are ready for what’s next.
Sincerely,
David Acker
